"The guys" are watching football. I am trying to pretend to be interested, but the gig is up. They know I don't know - and don't care to know - a thing about what is going on. The plan was to hide in my room with a book but it is so nice out today that I might just head to the patio instead. The upside of having a bum foot is that people insist on doing things for me. I can't even get my own drink anymore. The down side is that I am going to gain 10lbs and be a lazy slob by the time my foot is better. lol
Marty is currently grilling lunch for us. Teriyaki chicken, vegetable kabobs and rice. (No, he isn't grilling the rice.) Eat, read, nap. Sounds like a good plan for a Sunday.
In an effort to simplify my life (an ongoing battle around here) I have cleaned up a lot of my cyber-life. I am ultra anal and like to compartmentalize things. One of the easiest ways I have found to do it is with blogs. A blog for recipes, a blog about money, a blog about school, etc. Most of them were not meant to be seen by others, but Blogger just recently started allowing private blogs (or at least I just found out about them) so most had traffic. Yesterday I went through them and saved all relevant information and deleted them. Four blogs all together. Most of them took very little time to maintain, but I deleted them anyway. I needed to make a clean break, you know?
I also have a huge blog subscription list, with 78 blogs in Google reader. I immediately deleted 28 of them and moved the rest to a new folder, and will only move them back into the proper folder if I find value in them. If they haven't moved back after a while, I will delete them. Cheesy, I know. But I don't want to waste my time. I would rather spend that time learning something that will enhance my life, or chatting with a friend, or reading with my kids, you know? Of course, all of my IRL friend who have blogs are still in the keeper folder. Nothing they say is ever boring or BS to me. :o)
